Air Transat specializes in both scheduled and charter flights from Canada to vacation destinations. In the winter months, the majority of flights are between Canada and the Caribbean/USA and in the summer between Canada and many destinations in European countries. Year-round schedule services operate between Europe and Canada. The Air Transat fleet of 17 aircraft serves over 90 destinations in 25 countries.

Air Transat is a wholly owned subsidiary of Transat A.T. Inc., an integrated company specializing in organizing, marketing, and distributing vacation travel and packages. The organization comprises tour operators based in Canada and France. Transat also provides air travel, value-added services at holiday destinations, and distribution of vacation products and services through travel agency networks. Transat is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
